CTU, FA . . .   (links to official sites of the university)

CTU

Faculty of Architecture is in Prague 6, part Dejvice, street Thákurova 7. It is a tall building, 14 floors, at the end of Technicka street. Most classes are held in this building. The lecture halls are located in the Technicka Menza (student`s food restaurant) above the supermarket Delvita, Jugoslávských partizánu street. Howewer the design of the lecture halls is not too good. Ateliers (studios or architecture workshops) are almost everywhere is possible, in all already talked places and also in building of Rektorat (the headquarter of the University, Zikova street) and on another places. All is in one area within distances up to 0.5 km.

Dormitory Sinkule . . .
I have stay 6 years here  - during my whole study. The dormitory is located in the street Zikova 13, right across the Rektorat, it is about 5 to 10 minutes walk to school, 5 minutes to Metro (subway), 5 minutes to supermarket Delvita open everyday till 10 PM at night. Some unadvantages are that the rooms for two people are very small and have shared bathrooms.
Big advantage is very good internet connection and very fast net in general. This net builds students themselves.

Classes on the faculty of Architecture . . .
The year of study on CTU is divided into to halves called semesters between which are times for exams and in summer also holidays. The study of architecture contents from main three parts: Lectures (many students in lecture hall listen theory and make notes), Classes (about 20 students take practice class with teacher), Ateliers (designing new buildings and drawing plans with many consultations with architects, usually one project in one semester). The whole study takes very much time.
